Smart building systems can be done in two main ways for residential buildings such as villas and apartments.
1- Modular intelligent systems
These systems are designed for specific and common residential cases in which ready-made modules could be used to make different parts intelligent based on the need. For example, for controlling curtains one can use curtain control modules and for controlling the light or temperature relevant modules can be used. Generally, these systems communicate with each other based on their own network protocols such as KNX, ZWAVE, etc.
2. Intelligent systems of special design with industrial control devices
In this method of smartification, the building is designed completely and uniquely in terms of smartification, and smart system of that building is designed and implemented based on the architecture, space construction and special applications of each building. In this method, complete control methods such as PLC and IT based systems and if necessary, a control server, is used.
